Changepoint presents tips for mapping projects to business strategy at PMO Symposium
Toronto, CANADA — November 4, 2015 — Changepoint, a leading provider of solutions for Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPM) and Professional Services Automation (PSA), announced its sponsorship of the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) 2015 PMO (Project Management Office) Symposium happening Nov. 8 - 11 in Phoenix, Arizona. During the symposium, Changepoint’s General Manager of Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPM), Paul Cramer, will host a special session on advancing the role and value of the PMO.
The PMO Symposium is a three-day event geared toward project and program leaders tasked with ensuring their organization achieves its key objectives. The theme of this year’s symposium is “Closing the Gap Between Strategy Development and Implementation.” Attendees will have the opportunity to learn, network, and gain practical, real-world expertise from PMO experts in order to bridge this gap and better align their initiatives to the high-level business objectives of the organization.
In his session Cramer, who has more than 20-years of experience, will share his take on the evolution of the PMO. He’ll focus on the widening sphere of influence project managers possess and how it requires them to take on added responsibilities for the success of initiatives, provide real-time visibility into project benefit and value—both up and down stream—while also evaluating new opportunities against organizational resources. He’ll then dive into the core of next-generation PPM, including the latest methods being used to enhance project intake, alignment, and organizational capacity to benefit teams, better equip decision makers, and further business goals.
